Project 02 - Better Cities of the Future
The brief:
|
The aim of is project is to understand the component and elements of a city and what makes a better future city. There are 2 parts in this project.
PART A (individual component) - A4 pamphlet and a progress report compilation PART B (group component) - A2 presentation and a model Each of us are required to pretend ourselves as the mayor of the "X" city. As a mayor we will need to propose a new layout of the new" X" city very quickly because the old city is no longer liveable because it's just too crowded. As a group, we decided to chose A city in the Air (skyscraper city or in the mountains). |
PART A (individual component)
City Pamphlet
We are required to produce a folded pamphlet to promote the new city development. In this pamphlet contains information about my new city ----"ECOSIA City" which is the skyscraper city.

REFLECTION
During the process of doing the individual folded pamphlet, i've gone through many rejections from my tutorial lecture - Ms Iffa. As i personally think my idea was to general and boring but this had encouraged me to work more on research and produce more creative works. I've learnt a lot on what a city actually is and what components do they have. After the submission, my master plan was chosen and May Chen's city which is also a skyscraper city.
For this group project, i really appreciate my group members as we are able to work together well and produce work with initiatives. We've been through many arguments but still we are able to complete this project successfully. Unfortunately, some detailed information are not recorded in the presentation boards which cause us to lose some points from it. Lastly, i hope that there will be more projects like this, it allows me to explore further and increase my creative thinking skills. Even though it is tough but practice makes perfect. |
